The following notice of motion has been submitted by Squires Gate Lib Dem Councillor, Douglas Green.

"This Council calls on Lancashire Police Authority to pay more attention to

the residential areas of the town, and calls for the an increase in the

number of beat policemen/women & police support officers allocated to the

both the North and the South of Blackpool Borough."

Cllr. Green said: " At present, one community beat manager and one PCSO have an area containing approx 25,000 residents. This cannot be allowed to continue, it is essential for our communities that that the correct level of policing is applied."
