Town Hall Waste

Written by Cllr. Robert Wynne on Wed 9th Aug 2006

The final bills for the improvements at the town hall have now been

received. But, after the decision to scrap the original oak desks used by

the first Blackpool councillors, to spend £1 million including wallpaper at

£500 a roll, all on borrowed money. The expensive replacement furniture does

not accommodate any-where as many people as before.

Councillor Robert Wynne questioned, "Who asked the local ratepayers if they

wanted to pay for all this over many years to come.? This is just another

example of waste of money"

There MUST be a better way to run this town.
